Will Trump try to stop Russia or he needs Caucasus only for his army bases?

20% of Georgia is occupied by Russia and it is recognized by almost every country.
There was an election in 1991 for democratic Georgia and 90% of population voted from which 88% was affirmative.
If they were calling for help, why did they start war against Georgia and Ukraine???
