They need to approve it in advance to ensure that we have included all the triggers and cues which will challenge the patient within that scenario.
Let's say the patient has a DUI, then we would ensure, with the help of the therapist, that within the experience that the patient goes through, he or she is subjected to temptations such as alcohol in a store or in a home or people drinking in a gathering and being offered to drink along with them. We measure the action and reaction to these temptations. Therefore, we work closely with the therapists to ensure that these temptations are available within our programs and increase their level of difficulty as the patient gets more comfortable with the specific scenario.
