Ethereum will never reach bitcoin price, as ETH's structure of producing coins doesn't have a cap like Bitcoin (21 Million). And BTC had been an actual store of value but ETH is more on ICO's as you said and not much of actual storage value as of now.
Ethereum in my opinion is indeed difficult to compete with Bitcoin, let alone see its value on the market, and many altcoins whose prices go down. but even though prices often go up and down, don't worry because that's a natural thing and Ethereum in my opinion is a very good altcoin because Ethereum has excellent potential and quality. so many people like it that many people are interested in investing.
