I think it's not that simple. If gambling was not introduced, i think another similar thing that same like gambling will appear. Gambling business is really big, rich and smart people will make that.

yes, people will always search a way to increase their money, and maybe they will find another thing that will lead them to gamble although the named will change, the purpose will be the same as gambling. human will always become greed of having much money, and they will use many ways to get more money and maybe they will do without playing gambling only because gambling is not introduced.
