I don't need to make an analysis of the market to answer the first question. Bitcoin will remain as the #1 cryptocurrency in the market for a very long time because it is the most accepted, most used, and most popular coin in the cryptosphere.
Until another cryptocurrency manages to surpass Bitcoin in terms of acceptance, trust from the community and general public, and popularity, things will stay the same as they are today.
This will be hard to do, an anonymous developer keeps the faulty human aspect out of it and the proof of no coins moving when valued over a billion in his wallet shows that he isn't about the money. We even saw the dev of litecoin (who's a great guy) dump his litecoin during highs.
