Currency rating system is too simple and there are many problems that anyone can rate product even by scammers. The project solve this problem and make the rating system very efficient.

I agree, verification is the key for quality reviews, and incentive to leave the review will help too

But can't that be manipulated as well?

Everything can be manipulated, but that doesn't mean that some systems are not the better than others, and more reliable. As it will take much more to manipulate Rateonium than it is to manipulate Google review, or some other random review system.

Hopefully it will not be full of paid reviews. As you know some companies pay a lot of money for positive reviews.
