I don't think one would get addicted to gambling once he gamble.
You may not think of it but once you are after it and you have tasted the sweetness of victory in gambling, you will never stop thinking and trying of it again and again. First taste lasts forever so this is very applicable in gambling.
I do gamble and not addicted to it. One becomes addicted when greed and emotions overtakes his mindset.
Emotion plays one big part of it when someone becomes addicted to it. Good for you but not for those people that can't help themselves and remained addicted to it.
