I think seeing ETH to $50 is a possibility if we continue downward in a bear market, it would still be some decent value compared to what it was in the beginning. Myself I don't think it will go so low in price, as other people have mentioned it is very unlikely that it goes under $100, there are many many developers still working on it and plenty of new things coming.

I doubt it will get back to $1000 anytime soon though 

Only time will tell but right now the crypto market is pretty depressed.
