Where are all the XRP haters hiding nowadays? I haven't heard of them lately? Come on, won't you write how XRP is centralised and other nonsense like that? I have a few nice articles to share and I've been waiting to see a post of hate you know....

Like how Bitmain, which centralises the BTC's hashrate, is working behind the scene (a nice read here, the most interesting part is after the crystal tower image: https://medium.com/@salva.enkidu_89587/how-bitmain-indeed-mines-coins-in-secret-2ea179e7ab75)
Or why XRP is more decentralised than other coins: https://ripple.com/insights/the-inherently-decentralized-nature-of-xrp-ledger

Like I've said again, it's one thing for a company to control a big amount of a coin (like Ripple) and another thing for a company to control the network's hashrate (like Bitmain).
If you control a big amount of your own coin, then you'd do anything in your power to see it's price increase, both the company's and the investors' interest align.
But if you control the hashrate, then things are more complicated and unpredictable, which I don't like.

Soon Cheesy

You need to be patient. They will be back lol

You were right! It didn't take the haters long until they come back with useless predictions and baseless statements! Grin

Little value in XRP ($0.01), and cryptoassets which are misleadingly marketed, not needed within their own network, and have centralized ownership/validation.

The analysts predict that XRP, which once traded as high as $3.84 and is now valued at $0.33, will crash another 97 percent over the next five years, ultimately declining to penny parity.

"and not even required for use within their own network (such as XRP)." that was the best line! Cheesy Thanks for the laughs mate! Kiss
When the facts are everyday Ripple adds new businesses who use XRP to save transaction costs and reduce the settlement speeds, self-proclaimed researchers spread phrases like the above mentioned.

It is true that Ripple offers one software which helps companies transfer fiat currencies and this software is the most popular at the moment, so "technically" what the article calls "not even required for use within their own network" is true. However in practice this is a great advantage for XRP since users of Ripple's software for fiat currencies are easier to accept a pilot use of XRP instead of fiat and see the benefits in reality.

I know they say "don't feed the troll" but for the sake of people who are not aware of the reality, I though I'd feed him a bit! Wink
