The First Application Example of Blockchain Was Discovered in The 1995 New York Times

According to newsbtc, in 1991, cryptographers Stuart Haber and Scott Stornetta first invented timestamps. They used a cryptographic hash algorithm to generate a unique ID for each digital document. Each time the document was changed, the ID changed. Eventually they launched a timestamp service called Surety. In 1995, they began posting a newly added hash in a small ad in the New York Times category, which was the first instance of blockchain technology application, 13 years before Bitcoin was released by Satoshi Nakamoto.
