I suppose that ICOs in 2018 will move to a new level. The amount of project will be reduced, but the quality should be improved for sure. Moreover I guess that in 2018 ETH will share the place of the top ICO platform with NEM, NEO and other projects.
I'm sure the ICO will be alive. But in a new way! There should be fewer projects, but it will be really high-quality ICO. Which will offer a working good product. And people will not be afraid to invest in these projects!
Like you mentioned now is very difficult we find it, most of the ico now is failing or a scam.
We have to be clever to choose ico. And I think the ICO will continue to live as long as people still believe in the crypto.
