3.5.0 was the last version without the 5 minute delay. It has other nuances, such as not reporting diff correctly, but it''s definitely without the 5 minute delay.
I always thought it was 3.3.1, anyway that's the version I've used since it came out and it runs very well.
Very handy for 'new' coins, you can set the pools up in advance so pool0: new coin pool1: normal coin, the instant it goes live you are mining it
