Metronome authors receive none of the proceeds from any of the auctions. Those stay in the ecosystem and flow into the autonomous converter contract (a contract where the community can sell MET for ETH or ETH for MET) over time. Without advertising and marketing it is difficult to get a lot of popularity. For example, in Ltc, Hmr, Dash, there was a lot of advertising in late 2016 and in 2017. I think if they did not have advertising at their time, they would not have become so popular.
