Bitcoin is already a currency it is a crypto-CURRENCY, it is a digital CURRENCY. Yes it is used as an investment but it is also being used in some stores already. It may not be worldwide because of the issue of its fluctuating price but nevertheless it is being used. It didnt fail as a currency in my perspective.
