Not everyone. I have heard the saying that many loose for many to gain and vice versa, and this seems true most times. When you buy something, you loose money for the other person to gain. The other person loose the something for you to gain. so, if the something eventually worth more, days later, the seller just lost some values, and if otherwise, the buyer incurred two losses.  Market analysis is crazy really, but I'm sure some people even prefer market downtrend, cause of what they stand to gain after the market goes up.
