Tokens usually get locked for a period of time, sometimes up to 3 years, but that usually applies to the team tokens, not the bonus tokens.
You are right, of course, team tokens should always be locked for at least 2 years if project is serious.I think he was asking about bonus tokens because those are the ones that get dumped the most.
