Altcoin will always grow every day, born every day. Because its the new kind of investment which affordable, if there are only bitcoin then the markets will be less attractive.
I also agree that only bitcoin will be less attractive because it does not have a lot of options and it is getting less and less valuable. If there are more altcoins, the choice will be more diversified for the homei nvest.
