In what way will there be KYC?
There is a video about the KYC and they're plans on the Electroneum Facebook page.
In short they are integrating Yoti(a KYC service) with the wallet and it will be mandatory in a month or so.
This is indeed great news!
I see. While I understand KYC will enable acceptance, I am a really really small investor. I have 20$ worth of ETN at the moment and for such a small amount I am not ready to give my documents to them. Nor for 50$ (if it grows to that). I am ready to do it when I am ready to cash out and that won't happen unless one ETN is worth at least 1$ (which might be just a dream).
So what I would like to know is if transferring to an exchange or keeping funds in a paper wallet will also require KYC.
There is no mention of this and I very much doubt it in the short/medium term. Far in the future all entities that handle crypto will be self regulated.
