Do you guys think that it is possible to be successful if I want to hold ( a year), but look at the charts only once a week (even less), then trade only if I see a huge loss? Let's say I set a loss of 10% now, will I have to trade a lot?

I'm certain that is possible but it needs a great dedication and time. I don't think 12 hrs would be enough to bring you profit because there are now lesser coins that gains in the market and it's hard to know that you are investing the right altcoins so you could be in front of your monitor for almost 24 hrs.
