Its the people. It has always been people who first want bitcoin to be famous, adopted, be at an unreasonable price,and fulfill the dreams of people without doing anything. I am being a little too vague, but stupidity in people is what causes anything. I go on rants like these, trying to make people understanding by making it simple af to them. But no one bothers to use common sense.

Bitcoin development isn't the best. Bitcoin adoption is slow, making it slower won't affect much as long as no one creates an unwanted headline about it, bitcoin infrastrucutre's "efficiency" hasn't been great either. These attacks won't end bitcoin. We are way past that.
