I spoke with few friends recently about the hype that the crypto market received at the end of 2017.
I wonder how was it before 2017.
Was the market easy to manipulate?
pump and dumps were more common?
Were people more into ICO's? the ICO image was better than it is today?

I am here since 2012 and this was a completely different forum. Less spam, more discuss. ICOs did not play a role and they really only discussed over Bitcoins and a handful of altcoins. The whole crypto world was much more manageable than today. The market was manipulated in the same way as it is today. Pump and dumps were as frequent as they are today. Some things haven't changed in time, other things like altcoins have change a lot. Nowadays people are much more open to altcoins, at that time every altcoin was either way a scam in general (even good projects were immediately condemned). Oh yes, the good old days. How quickly everything can change.
