Got my new QT wallet synced, and am mining on suprnova pool! 
But one question... if the electrum wallet no longer connects, how do I get those coins out? Don't have many but would hate to lose em!

Electrum will work really soon, not more than 48h and if everything goes as planned, not more than 2h
.. You dont need new electrum client, the old client works.You can get your privkey from electrum, then just import it to qt wallet (help, debug, console, addprivkey "your privkey here")
