Regardless of whether you call it a vision, philosophy, mantra or something else entirely, Bitcoin has now grown far beyond the influence of one person (assuming satoshi wasn't a group, that is).  People should stop basing their views about Bitcoin's current direction on what they believe satoshi would have wanted.  Not only because no one can know exactly what that was now, but also because you can't logically have a decentralised crypto if you're constantly making an appeal to authority when trying to move forward.

Additionally, it's not good to rely on Vision/Philosophy too much which created from some time ago since :
1. The world keep moving forward which makes current condition are different from past
2. Since current condition is different, then solution which worked on past might not work for today
3. Satoshi isn't perfect and some of his vision is outdated or Satoshi failed to predict the future. For example, one-cpu-one-vote sound good, but Satoshi failed to predict mining with GPU, FPGA and ASIC.

But regarding term, "Vision of Satoshi" or "Satoshi's Vision" sounds better, even though it's abused/misunderstood by many.
