Yeah, but each of us still make bets and investments based on timelines regarding how long we expect to live, which is difficult to calculate and we could end up being wrong - yet, it still remains prudent to make such bets and perhaps attempt to draw down your investment capital in order that you can enjoy a significant amount of it during your life time. Sure some people have priorities to leave to their kids, which seems a decent waste of time if they don't attempt to enjoy a large majority of the value themselves.
So far bitcoin seems to be on a path to building and growing, and there do not seem to be any meaningful facts or logic to be predicting obsolescence, which means that it is a good investment, and if it begins to become apparent that it is going down a road towards obsolescence, then at that point, we should reallocate our value away from it.
