If I am to give my best opinion really, I would say that with such an amount, you should look into investing in extremely cheap, but really good altcoins. If you put $1000 into an  investment of  a coin that is worth about a dollar or less, you will be able to buy a lot of the coins, and with a reasonable amount of percentage increase in its price, you will be making so much profits.
