Closed source third party clients are a major no go. Anyone saying the nrs is closed source to justify going closed source themselves is bs as the nrs can be fully decompiled and reviewed.

This is a total non-starter. We are talking about peoples money here and potentially very large amounts of it. Any closed source third party clients should absolutely not be given any type of endorsement and should be met with a heavy warning at every opportunity. Also if anyone received bounties for their client and the source code is not to be released they have a moral obligation to return those bounties unless it was explicitely stated before receiving them.
