i will include a general prayer for your father into my routine.
I don't pray for religions but for people so it is no problem if you are Buddhist.
Siddhartha Gautama was searching for God's glory aswell and he found it, reaching enlightenment. He thought people about his findings and thus can be seen as a messenger of God aswell.
