I am fascinated by the X-cash project, however I have noticed that the blockchain is already occupying over 4 Gb of space on my computer in this very early stage stage of the coin. Why is it so "heavy"? If it is so heavy already now, how will the growing size be sustainable on the long run?
The reason it is large is because of all the small pool payments of 1000 X-CASH when the block reward is 100K
as time goes on, the growth will decrease, or stay the same since our goal is to have the coin becomes more popular.
there are 2 reasons why it will decrease.
remember this coin is set very quickly with the mining rewards (2 years), which means the block rewards will decrease rapidly, as we have already seen it was 114K Aug 1st
meaning less frequency of small payments from the pools
the other reason is because in mid November we plan on implementing bullet proofs. These will dramatically decrease the size per tx, which means the blocks will hold more tx
