I think Semux is a underdog compared to waves/eos/stratis
the eco system of semux is quite small, it is very experimental (which crypto is not..., though)
it needs some time, but devs are doing a good job! Look at the github repo, there are many commits!

EOS is currently experiencing great difficulties. Of the competitors is much more promising TRON (TRX).
There are lots of projects that have only testnet and/or promises of the great future/1m tps etc... Semux greatest advantage is that it's live and working and decentralized... Community is not huge but lots of supporters have faith in project
