It is. Max coincap is only relevant to PoW, not to PoS as per source code. It's a little misleading, I agree, but that is not a decision i made (since I only took over after original dev left). On the other hand, PoS only works with staking rewards, so it's fine imo.
Is there an active team behind this coin?
I don't know how many are on the team however we have been seeing wurstgelee in here being active and fixing minor issues that have come up over the past couple of months. So I would say yes there is an active team working behind the scenes, this coin runs automatically and has been for years now.
Still working silently behind the scenes unless urgent threats arise.
