$60m stolen from Japanese exchange on Sept 19. Definitely don't keep a lot of crypto on exchanges!
But an interesting point was made about hardware wallets: they can be stolen, seized by police, lost, hw failure, etc. If you are storing coins for a longer term and don't need to do transactions, just make a paper wallet or write down your passphrase and store someplace safe in a non-obvious way. Get an old book and circle letters or something
