The number of businesses in a city accepting cryptocurrency isn't what makes it the top 10
The number of users is, by far, more important and show the real picture of the city. If a city has 100 businesses accepting cryptocurrency but nobody is using it then it's worthless. You can have 100 businesses accepting crypto but if only 0.001% of the transactions are paid in crypto then it shows nothing (especially considering most of them are small or very small merchands)

Unfortunately, there is no way to approximate this.

And even if we have a number of users using crypto, we would also have to wonder how many of those are unique persons.
Somebody might buy a coffee in the morning a sandwich in the afternoon and a "Bounty" bar later on each day and that would count in a month as 100 purchases. While a hotel might have 60 tourists paying with BTC and it would rank lower.

But overall, nice numbers  Grin
The China myth is busted once again.

Businesses respond to customers demand and want. It is not possible for there to be so many shops and outlets accepting cryptocurrencies as payment without a corresponding number of holders in that city.

Or they accept BTC just so that some newspapers give them free publicity.
Look, x is accepting BTC.
The costs are 0 anyway.

I'm surprised no Chinese cities on the list, China has the most powerful exchanges、miners. In Hangzhou、Beijing、ShangHai, these cities also have many geek teams are woking on new business scenarios.

Yeah, yeah, heard that a lot of time. In reality, you can't buy anything with BTC in China.
