i always trade forex and commodities when bitcoin and altcoins are in a lull. it helps pass the time, and there are/were great bitcoin-only brokers who offered CFDs.

1broker has been shut down---the FBI seized its domain earlier today and they are being charged by the SEC and CFTC for offering swaps to customers in the USA without proper registration and licensing.
this does not bode well for other unregistered CFD brokers like simplefx. if you have funds on any brokers like this, i would withdraw ASAP!
interestingly, 1fox (1broker's bitcoin futures brokerage) is still up. if you still have funds there, i would remove it immediately as well. any funds held at 1broker are lost though.....
