I agree with all of you, however, don't you think it is not good for those who may not have as strong a faith as everyone else on bitcoin? I just think that it is not good to spread fear about something that may not even happen in the near future. Instead, we should prevent these people from saying that. I know that the price of bitcoin is not in any of our hands but if we will just let those people say those things then I feel bad for those who fall for it.
Do you think that FUD is effective in long term growth of bitcoin? Of course not, and remember that this is speculative and open market and anyone can say what they want. Its up to us to really filter out and read between the lines. If you have been in the market for a significant amount of time, you won't be bothered by this non-sense. Well let that be a lessons for those who fall for it. They should make their decisions not based on what others is saying, but learn to decide what's good for you.
If anything, FUD has been really good at making Bitcoin stronger, and stronger. And that's not yet talking about price.
Surely we haven't forgotten about the most recent sustained bout of FUD courtesy of the big blockers/anti Segwit/pro fork throughout 2016 and 2017? In the latter, we even had the threats of China and deliberate spam to create network congestion, compounding the FUD.
Nett effect? Stronger network, faster adoption as mainstream consciousness picks up the extra chatter. Plus the price run which came on top of that.
You ain't seen the moans yet till you see the whites of the eyes of kwuck.
