Vitalik needs to do something to speed up the platform. Blockchain is constantly overloaded with 50k-60k transactions in the queue. There is no way to spend a cheap transaction quickly.
You are right Ethereum network needs development because again above 64k transaction still on pending.On the other hand ETH & XRP still fighting for 2nd position, XRP again holding 2nd position in cryptocurrencies.
To be honest ETH is more secure platform so in future it will be back on its actual position. I don't think XRP could survive to keep itself on 2nd position it looking like pump which will be over soon.
