I have always favored the Roulette table's dozens, columns and colored bets to cover a lot of numbers with a few wagers. Blackjack is OK also. I think that Slots gives you the worst odds which probably explains why a large chunk of a casino's profits is from the slot machines.
As some posters have noted, the best approach would be to play games which you like the most regardless of the house edge because in a healthy gambling we are looking for fun in the first place, not for profits. But nevertheless I agree that sometimes it's interesting to talk about the differences in house edges.
Regarding the Roulette game I wouldn't say its house edges, either American(5.40% ) or European(2.70%), are among the most favorable for gamblers. You can find reputable dice sites with 1% house edge and there are sites with even lower HE, but I'm not sure we can trust them.
