I'd say it's more likely some Privcy bag holder tries to extort >1 week of free advertising to hype the price up, dump his bags onto others and vanish without paying.
That was my first thought, too. The OP of the sig campaign thread practically admitted it as well:

Cryptocurrency is decentralized, anyone can advertise bitcoin if they wish to, why is a third party not allowed to help advertise a coin they are heavily invested in?
What's really telling is all the spambies who just pop into that thread and apply for the campaign with out reading what's been going on, or doing any research about the project themselves.
