To be honest, my motivation to continue holding is due more to a lack of imagination to do something better with my bitcoins right now, than to a solid hope that the price of bitcoin will really skyrocket to levels close to a million dollars that many bitcoiners dreamed a few years ago.
Therefore, I would be willing to sell at least part of my bitcoins as soon as I see that the price offers me an acceptable margin of profit, and not because of lack of faith in the future of the cryptocurrencies, but because I believe that bitcoin was designed for a host of useful and practical things, but not as a long-term investment instrument.
