My tip: Do not invest in ICOs. ICOs are not as much profitable these days compared to last year. If I were interested in a certain ICO(though extremely unlikely), I'd probably buy it after the distribution instead, as prices are sometimes lower after the coins/tokens are accepted on exchanges.
I agree with mjglqw and now ICO projects rarely use escrow and maybe now almost none.

ICOS now a days is quite in bad shape but there are ICOs even against all odds will definitely surface because of it's integrity and the functioning products and services are really profitable and truly manage by the team of experts that what's makes more valuable.
