Does Elicoin need to address CVE-2018-17144?

I've heard that Elicoin is based on Litecoin, and they've already addressed it: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/issues/537

Yenten and Elicoin also appear to share some source code, and the Yenten project is also actively addressing it.
