Yeah, a thread like this would be useful if 1) plagiarists actually read such things, and 2) they didn't all think their case was special enough to merit forgiveness and an unban.  Even if this gets pinned to the top of Meta in big bold 96-point Gothic font, these morons will still be creating "help me!" threads begging for their bans to be reversed.

I am nearly 100% sure they are absolutely too lazy or illiterate to read this thread.  Good effort, great idea, but it just won't work because of who we're dealing with here.  I'm actually surprised most of them are able to find Meta and know to post there about ban appeals.
