Nobody needs to buy an account (and as marlboroza pointed out - from a scammy mining pool - much fail on due diligence) in order to "learn about BTC" or to "grow with the community". And you didn't post with the account until
April 2017 so according to Mr. Occam you mentioned "late 2015" so that you could then say:
Bought account when account buying was fine
Because buying an account in 2017 would not have been "fine" I guess.
