That's a dangerous stance. It' certainly doesn't have to pump to maintain miners. Miners could always fall off due to unprofitability (which has been the trend for 2018, not price pumps).
Also, not even btc price charts correlate rewards halving with pumps.
Still: buy eth while it's cheap!
