My brother used my computer seems to be the most popular. It's like that dog ate my homework excuse.
Yeah, along with "I lent my account to ____" excuse.  It's pretty much the same thing, but even members like aTriz have used it for things other than plagiarism.  Don't know about anyone else, but I have an extremely small circle of family and friends, and there's no way anyone I know would be using my account--if they even knew what it was to begin with.  No one I know would have any reason to do anything other than log me off if they found my computer on and bitcointalk.org pulled up on the screen.  They certainly would not make a post that was copied from somewhere with no source.  How ridiculous is that?

Unfortunately (for them), these people think they're being clever by using these excuses.  They probably think they invented them and that people are going to believe whatever idiotic story they tell them.

Don't forget the time someone had their whole entire "office" accounts banned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1912475.0
I remember that one.  It's sad, but part of me thinks situations like that really do exist in poor countries where bitcointalk's potential for providing a living wage spreads like wildfire through word of mouth.

This excuse and The Pharmacist's reaction is of one of the best: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2544574.msg44608747#msg44608747
Yep.  And you might have convinced me that that wasn't a table full of spammers were it not for the fact that the orange-scarfed lady obviously has bitcointalk pulled up on her laptop, and in fact all the screens shown look like they could be bitcointalk, but it's hard to tell.  I'm sure that gaggle of geniuses were all engaged in writing about how bitcoin has a bright future and is increasing day by day, probably in the same threads, probably sequentially.  Either that or "gr8 project!".
