Steemit would indeed be an interesting comparison to Rally, since there is a reward system for content publishing, but linked to the appreciation of a reader.

That being said, the application is quite different in many ways because of it's referral system and actions related reward system.

Example: A brand can effectively use Rally app to interact with the user base in exchange of tokens which could then be used to purchase their items.
