Thee are many gambling stories out there, some good , some sad yet we still make new addicts every day. I don't think the sad stories alone will get future addicts to stop but rather the society must offer hope such that if I know I can earn say 50$ by washing plates for 48 hours I will rather make my 50$ that way and not through gambling.

In washing plates you are sure you will be getting 50$ but in gambling either you can make the same amount or lose out completely depending upon the luck and the game which you will bet on. People who have excess and lose out is fine but for needy it is quite bad.

Yeah right, but most of those who choose  gambling and play with luck are people who mostly in need, they chooses this venue to try multiplying their money and most of the time ending it up losing as time passed and greediness will eat them up, a lots of stories has been shared here about this type
of failures and it didn't change anything, maybe for people who still have a good mindset, its far better to work to earned than wasting your time and
lose choosing gambling to make money.
The thing actually is that there is no shortcut to success and that is something a lot of people always fail to reason and realize and all they are just busy looking for is to be able to make a huge gain and profit from gambling, which is usually the main thing that sets them up for addiction actually.

Addiction is not something that usually just occurs immediately as it is a gradual thing, and it all starts from the mindset you started with towards gambling and as long as you get yourself engrossed in the activity with such mindset and you get hooked, getting out of it will always become a problem in the long run.
