I wonder if it's a coincidence that
LH66 started the exact same discussion about "bitcoin porn" on August 16, 2011, 06:02:17 pm:
So these forums are not safe for women, not at all. Women can't come here to be educated without being offended or verbally harassed. For example, there is somebody here who has, as his sig, a site for bitporn. Do the board mods really believe that women want to see that sort of thing?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=32386.msg460171#msg460171After this, people were responding and disagreed with her. The discussion went on for a view hours...
Coincidently.... the registration date of our
captainteemo(male) in this thread here is August 16, 2011, 10:18:10 pm ....a view hours after LH66 started the discussion. And the next day, on August 17. LH66 stopped the discussion:
I do think people understand my views and are willing to acknowledge that they may have some validity. Thank you all for adding to the discussion.
And now he's complaining about the same thing:
Personally, I think pornography is wrong and degrading to women, and I don't like people who support it.
Bitcoin having things like "bitcoin porn" is not going to make it look better in the eyes of the general public.
Reading the comment history from both accounts however shows that they might not be the same person, there are quite obvious differences in writing style...
I think captainteemo has read the conversation in the other thread and is now just fulfilling his nickname(i read "Captain Emo" the first time, sry), trying to be the wight knight or is just trolling.
Conspiracy! ...Thoughts?
Why would anyone tell people they used bitcoin and be branded "that creepy porn buyer"?
Because porn is not the only thing you can buy with Bitcoins? Bitcoin has other purposes too, it's not dedicated to porn. Just like cash isn't dedicated to drugs. You can buy drugs in every city for cash...does that mean to you everyone who uses cash automatically is a drug addict?
Oh, and I also think there is nothing wrong with porn.
