I purchased the 5870 & 6970 from shata.  The 6970 works great.  The 5870 arrived with worn out fan bearings and the fan would make horrible grinding sound and run about 60 rpm, not enough to keep the card cool.

I've contacted shata 3 times now to work this out.  The first response was simply that "the fan is supposed to be loud".  The next 2 PMs have not received a response.  Since then, I purchased a Zalman VF3000 which is working well with the 5870, but I'd like to be reimbursed for the cost because it was not disclosed that the 5870 had a bad fan before the deal was made.

It's been over a month  now, so I'm no longer hopeful that shata will make this right,  but if he does I will edit this post.
