Unfortunately, every day we are seeing in the Meta section cases of people wondering why they have been banned from the site, losing in the event whatever progress they may have made on their account. This is often related to the call for money effect, with no respect for the ecosystem that constitutes the forum.
Rules are likely not to be read until its too late, quality of content is not even thought of while trying to milk the cow, and as a result, not only do the often get banned, but they drive the forum to steepen the requirements for all (introduction of the Merit System, later enhancement of the Merit System, and whatever is in store for future tweaks on rules).
People are entitles to try to make some side cash here it they wish, but it should be done in a manner that does not overkill the forum with unsubstantial spam.
