Thanks for replying so promptly! Not sure what you mean by without any errors, as I think I did exactly as what the instructions said, or maybe the instructions were a bit unclear. There might be a missing step I guess. I will try to join the chat you mentioned. In the meantime if anyone else has any tips or suggestions, they would be appreciated.

actually there is no step in between. when you first install the wallet (and there was no wallet and blockchain before) you can only click "OK" and the blockchain download (as zip) starts. you cannot do anything else here. so maybe the download was broken due to a lost connection or sth then you'd get an error like (cannot extract zip)or sth like that. ok cu in the chat to give you direct help ...
